School Awards
Every term children from across the school are nominated for one of the following prestigious awards. The awards are named after ex pupils and staff who have made a really valuable contribution to the life of Fox Hill. Children receive a trophy which they hold onto for a term.
1. The Jamie Meredith Award for recognition of being a good friend
2. The Mrs Delaney Award for outstanding effort in PE in KS1
3. The Grant McGuire Award for outstanding effort in PE in KS2
4. The Betty Moore Award for achievement in mathematics
5. The George Riley Award for hard work in school
6. The Peter Jenkins Ambassador Award
7. The Jim Fryer Award for being an Outstanding Citizen
8. The Jean Willis Award for Outstanding Attitude to School
9. The Linda Hill Award for progress in Reading
10. The Blake Shepherd Award for Progress in Swimming
11. The Ian Smith Award for Creative Writing
The school believes it is a real honour to be nominated for one of these awards and any child who receives the trophy should be very proud.
In addition to these termly trophies we regularly send positive notes home for children on a regular basis. The Headteacher will sometimes send home special postcards to celebrate some good news or good work in school. Teachers give out stickers very regularly and all children receive house points throughout the term and the winning team has a half termly treat.
House points are collected every week and counted up and then announced in assembly.
